Free Needlepoint Chart: To Whatever End
Two free Thorn Alexander needlepoint patterns for bookish bookmarks.
Introducing April’s needlepoint patterns!
Attention all literature lovers and tortured poets! This month, I've created two needlepoint patterns to share with you. These free patterns are inspired by Sarah J. Maas' captivating Throne of Glass series and the newly released The Tortured Poet's Department Anthology. Whether you're a fan of epic fantasy or a lover of heartwrenching lyrics, I hope these designs resonate with your literary soul.
To Whatever End: Without giving away any spoilers, this phrase beautifully encapsulates the depth of the connection between two soulmates. The pattern is stitched on 13 mesh canvas using Terrasen-inspired green and gold threads, making it a perfect gift for any "TOG" loving bookworm. I recently finished this piece and gifted it to a fellow reader.
Tortured Poet: The second pattern is a nod to Taylor Swift’s release of The Tortured Poet's Department Anthology. This self-explanatory design captures the essence of some of the references cited of The Classics with a Greek Key and folkloric flare.
Charts, Thread Pairings, and Dimensions: To help you bring these patterns to life, I've included charts, recommended thread pairings, and the necessary dimensions for each design. Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or new to the world of needlepoint, these resources will guide you through the process of creating your own literary-inspired masterpieces.
Instructions for working from a chart can be found here.
Finishing Your Pieces: When it comes to finishing your needlepoint projects, there are many options to consider. I chose to finish mine myself, and I'll be sharing a detailed post on my finishing process next month. Stay tuned for tips and tricks on how to create DIY bookmarks and weights.
Happy stitching, and may your needlepoint creations be as enchanting as the stories and poems that inspired them!
x,
Brooke
